Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve posted.
I’ve been really busy and have a lot of different shoots to post, so stay tuned for some more regular posts.
These photos are from a snowboarding shoot up at Big Bear Mountain, in Southern California.
There was so much snow up there this winter. I haven’t seen it like that in about 10-15 years. The Southern California ski mountains aren’t known for their abundance of snow. So you can imagine my surprise when I arrived and the snow banks were taller than me.
I did a little post production on this image. Reducing the saturation of the sky, I think really brings the focus to the snowboarder.
This image was taken at the same jump as the image above but using a different focal length and a different angle. The previous image I was up the hill shooting at 200mm. This image I was right under the take off for the jump, just off center so I could see his face shooting at 60mm (as opposed to 18mm) to isolate the snowboarder without too much background competing. |
